October is Small Business Month
The small business sector is one of the biggest engines of growth in the Canadian economy. More than 2.5 million entrepreneurs are engaged in the continuing development of small businesses in our country.
According to Industry Canada, there will be 150,000 new entrepreneurs who will join their ranks in the coming year. Approximately 6 out 10 workers are employed by small business and nearly half of Canada's GDP is generated by this sector.Clearly the Small Business Sector is a valuable source of wealth and job creation in our economy.
During this month of October, CABI acknowledges and celebrates the role of the Small Business Sector. We especially acknowledge and celebrate the commitment and contribution made by entrepreneurs engaged in Business Incubation Programs across Canada, as they work to make their business aspirations into successful business operations.
