What CABI’s 15th
Annual Conference Hosts Are All About!
InNOVAcorp enables innovative early stage Nova Scotia companies to accelerate
commercialization of their technologies and increase competitiveness in
export markets. The organization’s High Performance
Incubation (HPi) model combines incubation, mentoring and investment
activities to drive innovation, entrepreneurship and
commercialization. InNOVAcorp manages two business incubation
facilities. The Technology Innovation Centre in Dartmouth
targets companies in the information technology and engineering
industries. The BioScience Enterprise Centre in downtown
Halifax focuses on companies in the life sciences industry.
The National Research Council’s Institute for Marine Biosciences (NRC-IMB) is one of the main anchors for life sciences research in Atlantic Canada. NRC-IMB’s Industry Partnership Facility and newly-renovated coastal Marine Research Station will enable companies to work side-by-side with researchers and gain access to advanced research technologies. With flexible and multidisciplinary approach to research, NRC-IMB’s life sciences research targets natural toxins, aquaculture, and advanced research technologies which include expertise in bioinformatics, functional genomics, metabolomics, and proteomics. |
