Business Incubator of the Year Awards

In 2010, CABI will be honouring the achievements of Canadian business incubators by presenting two ‘Business Incubator of the Year’ Awards at its 19th Annual Conference to be held in October in Toronto.

Awards will be given in two categories - Technology Incubation and Multi-Purpose Incubation. Technology Incubation includes those organizations that focus on clients with technology related businesses including general technology incubators, internet, software design, information technology, biotechnology and environmental technology among the various types. Multi-Purpose Incubation includes incubators that serve a wide range of client types with a nontechnology industry niche including mixed-use, manufacturing, arts, fashion, service and kitchen among the various sector focused types.

To be eligible for nomination, business incubators must meet all of the following criteria:

1. CABI Membership in good standing;
2. Began serving clients at least five years ago and are currently doing so;
3. Have board approved entrance and exit policies;
4. Have a history of successful graduate companies; and,
5. Deliver a full incubation program through on-site management.

Please see CABI's Call For Award Nominations.
